Lynn Johnson was born in Sunnyvalle, California in 1971. From an early age, her affection for music was evident. By the age of seven, she was performing for audiences in homes and churches. In her adolescence, with the styles of the big-haired twisted sister rock scene, playing church hymns and sweet folk music was not exactly how the hip/cool style high schoolers were spending their days.
Mike Johnson was raised in Africa from the age of two until the age of eight. Since returning to the United States, in 1978, he has witnessed a bizarre and painful disparity between the two lands. In America, we are maternally wealthy, however spiritually bankrupt. In Africa, most people are financially fraid, but rich in spirit. Through the music, it is his hope that he may expose to you an exclusive treasure beyond the dreams of Kings, redeemable in every nano second of time and in every particle of space, no buzz, no static and subscriptions free. His lyrical style incorporates basic icons in pairs such as the sun and moon, silver and gold, mint and jade etc...to establish a slate upon which to convey the message of song. The use of colors, perceptions of a child, subconcious architypes and the human experience attempt to reunite each of us in a universal kindred spirit of hope.
Jeff Saunders was born in Richmond, California in 1971. Growing up, he was exposed to the players, big boppers of the 50's, 60's and 70's through his father. Taught some of the basics from his father, Jeff initially began playing guitar and exploring music without limiting his style to any particular genre. A gentle giant of a man and a versitale musician, Jeff's scope of ability includes speed metal, punk, folk, rock and blues.
Jeff Saunders and Mike Johnson met in 1981 at Ready Springs school in Penn Valley. Painfully shy and emotionally sensitive, both found solace and comfort in their friendship. Naturally talented and able, Lynn and Mike were married and she returned to her guitar. Ambergreen became a group in 2008. Musical Influences include: Ruth Brown, Ann Cole, Diana Krall, Rush, Taj Mahal, Freddie King, Chuck Berry and Muddy Waters.
